  November update from Uber

artist-janedevidson.jpg
Greetings!

locallyownedandoperated.jpg Uber is proud to be Locally Owned and Operated we try wherever possible to support local businesses and local communities.

Having a birthday this month? – you’re in good company – Mickey Mouse, Bruce Lee., Jimi Hendrix, Harpo Marx.

The Darkroom TV – amazing projections onto a historic home in the UK, and they’re Kiwis too!

Artist of the month

This is an initiative we launched for Northland artists; we had had a great response from everyone. This is how it works, we supply our walls to a new artist each month, they get to promote their work and we get to enjoy it. We don’t take a commission - if you’re interested in purchasing any of the works we’ll provide you with contact details to deal directly with the artist.

Drum roll...

Jane Davidson is our artist for November. Largely self-taught, creative artist Jane Davidson has had two previous exhibitions in Whangarei. Yvonne Rust gallery was wall works combining mosaic and paint and Porcine Gallery was 3-dimensional sculptural pieces made from recycled wooden articles painted and decorated. Her current fascination with computer mother boards has produced this series of “extended circuits”.

Please drop in and enjoy the artworks.

my.ubernet.co.nz - customer portal

Our customer portal is now live http://my.ubernet.co.nz (don't put www. infront). Please phone us on 438 5472 to get your password. Yes we are security conscious and might ask you a few questions – prepare yourself, take a deep breath and... no just joking, call us and we will work to make it as painless as possible.

This is an absolute must for all of you. This site gives you the control.

It tracks your daily broadband usage for the current month and all previous months. This has to be the ultimate budgeting tool – it puts you in the driving seat and allows you to choose the most appropriate plan to meet your monthly requirements. Remember we are very flexible we don’t lock you into a plan for the duration of your term. You can change your plan any time during the month and it will take effect as the month rolls over.

For those of you with phone you can see every call you have made - this system is real time (well almost!) with the call appearing on the portal within 15 minutes of you making it. This allows you the flexibility of choosing the right plan for your usage.

October Update from Uber

  October Update from Uber

artwork1-good.jpg
Greetings!

It looks like Northland is in for a wild October with the start of the Spring Equinox - the beginning of the sun's dominance in the Southern Hemisphere. WeatherWatch head weather analyst Philip Duncan describes it as "Mother Nature's green light for violence". "We typically see the stormiest weather of Spring starting today and lasting over the next six to eight weeks".

If you live near rivers you might like to keep an eye on the water levels (from the comfort of your computer) – the Northland Regional Council have a great site that’s worth checking out.

Every cloud has a silver lining. There is an upside to windy weather – it’s great for flying kites. If it’s raining and you’re stuck inside – build a kite. And it’s amazing what you can do with a stunt kite, some velcro and a camera phone

locallyownedandoperated.jpgUber is proud to be Locally Owned and Operated we try wherever possible to support local businesses and local communities.

Hours

In an effort to keep you all happy we are continuously thinking of various ways to improve our service. With that in mind, we have changed our hours to 8am till 5.30pm Monday to Friday (except Tuesday when we start at 9am so we can have a staff meeting)

Artist of the Month

This is an initiative launched last month; we had had a great response from everyone. This is how it works, we supply our walls to a new artist each month, they get to promote their work and we get to enjoy it. We don’t take a commission - if you’re interested in purchasing any of the works we’ll provide you with contact details to deal directly with the artist.

Drum roll...

Bill Robertson is a local Dargaville artist, who paints with oil on board and we are delighted to have 4 of Bill’s works adorning the walls of our office. Whilst we only have Bill’s paintings he is a very creative guy who has built seats out of driftwood and other stuff collected off the beach, is an accomplished photographer and poet. Two of the works in the office have some of Bill’s poetry scribed across the painting.

Please drop in and enjoy the artworks.

Free phone stuff for October

Thinking of getting our phone service? We just made the decision a whole lot easier for October!!

Get our great phone service for free for 3 months (yip say that fast and get you’ll get yourself into all kinds of trouble).

So this is how it works; our VOIP phone system uses our wireless network*. This service does not slow down your UberNetworks broadband by stealing bandwidth nor does it use up any of your data cap. Just like our broadband service you won’t have any interruption with poor weather conditions or other traffic on the network.

Our Fixed monthly Rental is $29.95 per month.

We have 3 plans:

Toll Saver plan - call anywhere in NZ unlimited for $20 per month (excludes cell phones).

Australia Unlimited – call anywhere in NZ and Australia unlimited for $25 per month (excludes cell phones).

The World Unlimited - call anywhere in NZ unlimited and the world** for $40 per month (excludes cell phones).

All of this for a one off set up cost of $149 for the ATA Adapter and if you want to retain your phone number there is a one off $25 (number portability) charge.

All our prices include G.ST.

* We are unable to offer our phone system to customers with numbers starting with: 4313, 4314, 4315 & 4319. This is due to Telecom not allowing our provider to have space in the Warkworth exchange. We are optimistic this will be resolved in the near future but are unable to give any time frames as it is entirely out of our control.

**40 specified international locations

August Update from UberNet

By Jules - Marketing @ 4:07 pm

  August Update from UberNet

Greetings!

It really has been cold in the lovely winterless North – some say it’s the coldest winter in 30 years! As it got colder many of us spent more time indoors near the fire dreaming of warmer times and warmer places…

Do you need a break from this cold? Airlines offer cheaper deals online – you might find a great deal if you surf around the internet, especially if you are prepared to travel on those less popular days. You can also find good prices if you look for last minute deals ...

Recession times too tough for travel? Try virtual travel - soak in the lovely photos of blue sea stuffed full of tropical fish, while keeping your toes warm, at your computer.

As the tougher times set in we all need to look at ways to save money, or to get more money – clear out all that stuff in the back room that you haven’t used for years and sell it all on www.trademe.co.nz – just be careful when you’re on the site, resist the temptation to buy more and refill the back room again ...

Phone Service

At UberNetworks we are continually coming up with ways to improve and expand our services to you and hopefully help you save money.

We are delighted to announce our phone service is now readily available – we have extensively trialed, developed and tested it. It goes brilliantly and we are offering a VOIP phone system over our wireless network*. This service does not slow down your current UberNetworks broadband by stealing bandwidth nor does it use up any of your data cap. Just like our broadband service you won’t have any interruption with poor weather conditions or other traffic on the network.

Our Fixed monthly Rental is $29.95 per month. We have 3 plans but our most popular plan is the Toll Saver plan - call anywhere in NZ unlimited for $20 per month (doesn’t include cell phones). For another $5 ($25) you can call Australia unlimited… Or go crazy and call the world as often as you like for $40 a month.

All of this for a one off set up cost of $150 for the ATA Adapter. If you want to retain your phone number there is a one off $25 (number portability) charge.

Take care out there in the cold

Come in and visit us in the office we are nice and warm with the air-conditioning going. Our hours are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday – phone 09 438 5472. Or check out our website www.ubernet.co.nz.

How much does additional data cost?

Below is our data block charge rates. Note: You are only able to purchase data blocks relative to your current plan speed.

We apologise for the outages but do hope you enjoy our impressive broadband service, which can only be continued by us making these regular improvements.

For more information about the upgrades performed, you can call us on 09 438 5472.
